Moisturiser's Review

Tuesday, 22 October 2013

Aloha!

I love my skin feel hydrated and soft and just nice. I mean, nobody really wants rough skin. (Well, in my opinion). I really have so many moisturisers it's unreal! But anyways..

Body Moisturiser's

The first body moisturiser that I really love is the Garnier Body: intensive 7 Days nourishing lotion in softening cocoa butter. Garnier have quite a lot of moisturisers, all of them having a different purpose. The Cocoa Butter one which I have, is for softening dry, rough skin. Normally I find when, I have had a shower and I am getting dried my legs and well everywhere basically gets really dry. So I found that using the Garnier Body after being in the shower really works for me. I personally find it a really good investment because it is cheap and works well, absorbs really quickly (I hate waiting for my moisturiser to soak in) and smells great. I don't actually find the cocoa smell overpowering but for those who are not really a fan of the cocoa smell, I think it may be a little over powering. I think you can also get it in different scents, like aloe vera.  I would definitely give it 5/5!

Soap and Glory are a great body care/beauty brand. I have soooo... many of their bath/body products. Like seriously I have got so many bottles of the shower gel and moisturisers to get through.  I swear I'm constantly receiving soap and glory gift bag (things).  But anyways, another body moisturiser I enjoy using is Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk. (mouthful). My normal routine with this is to put it on in a morning when I wake up before doing my makeup (because I shower the night before). On the bottle it says to rub on the shoulders, knee's and shins after having a shower but I put it everywhere (naughty). I put it everywhere because its a great softening lotion without thick feeling. Although I do not particularly like the smell of it (Almond, Cocoa, Yoghurt, Oat and Honey) , it does suit it's purpose.  I would give this a 4/5.

The final body moisturiser is the Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion. I find this moisturiser is great The summer glow smells really nice! (exceptionally nice for a fake tanning product) and does give a nice glowing colour when developed. Having said that, it is really difficult to get even coverage because of the late devlopment. I'm not sure if it is just me but sometimes it will work really well and others it is really streaky and just uneven. It is available for different skin tones yet I would not say it is entirely worth the cost. I think I would have to give it a 2/5.

Facial Moisturiser's

The first face moisturiser that I really love is the Garnier Skin Naturals: Essentials Hydrating Day Care. The cream makes my skin feel so soft even though I am prone to dry skin (especially in my T-zone area). I've used this particularly moisture cream and handful of times and I have found it really works on dry skin. I would normally apply it on a night leaving it to work its magic and then on a morning wash it off with my simple facewash. I do find it is quite a heavy moisture and can take a while to properly soak in and does have a thick feel to it. It smells great (of roses to be particular) and was a reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with dry skin.  Therefor I give it a 4/5.

My all time favourite face moisturiser has to be the Simple: Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser. I think this may be my most favourite product in the whole world at the moment. This has "worked wonders" for my skin. It is amazing how well this works but also works with the Simple face wash (I actually just typed fash and was like 'oh that's not right, I just made a word up'). Yeah, So I really love simple's products. They are all very wow. The light moisture absorbs very quickly and does it purpose but also provides you skin the the 'Vitamins and Skin Loving Ingredients' it needs. Although it does not have a particular scent it lasts for up to 12 hours and does not have any thick feel to it because it is super light.  5/5!

Im so happy today because Better Together -EP by Fifth Harmony came out! Check it out ok, its is amazing!

Sephora Beauty Review

Tuesday, 1 October 2013

Aloha Hoaloha,
This week's post is going to be a review on things I have beauty products from Sephora. The items I have got are what I have either bought for my self on a holiday where there is a Sephora store and a present from a friend or family member.

The first beauty product that has been amazing is the Naked pallet, by Urban Decay. If you have read mine previous August Favourites blog, then you will know that this is one of my favourite items at the moment. The pallet is so good! I chose the first naked pallet because I thought that all the colours in there were me. Each day, when getting ready I use the shadow pallet and use the colour I fancy wearing (today is Smog, Sidecar and a little bit of Dark Horse). There is not one colour in it that haven't used yet. I really recommend everyone to get! The brush that comes with the pallet is fabulous as well. (Such a soft brush!) The greatest thing about it though it that when you buy it, you receive a 'Eyeshadow Primer Potion' which is amazing! I found it keeps my eyeshadow looking great all day (which is great for me because I tend to play with my eyes a lot~ sounds so strange!). I would really recommend buying this to anyone who ask's and I definitely intend on buying Naked 2!

Naked Eyeshadow  Pallet
Another Urban Decay product I have, I only got yesterday as a present from my parents! (Thanks Guys) -Naked Flushed. WOW! So, even though I just got it yesterday its fabulous! It's a pallet that consist of bronzer, highlighter and blusher. All of which are very pretty colours! I have only used this once (today) but I have already fallen in love. The blusher looks really good on and works really well with the highlighter to give a lovely light pink shimmer. I have been looking for a really nice blusher/bronzer pallet for a while so it was great when my mam gave me this! (High Five Mam!). So thats another great Urban Decay product in my makeup bag!

Naked Flushed and Real Techniques Blusher brush

I am so excited about this next product. Its the most amazing product I have ever had in my whole life! Smiths Rosebud Salve is literally heaven in a pot! For those of you who don't know of it, It is the best Lip Balm/Salve ever, ever, ever. The first time I purchased a one of these was at the Sephora store in New York and I only got one having never used it before. When I got home all of my friends kept asking to use some, so as you can imagine it went very fast. And at first you couldn't buy them in the UK until a few years ago when House Of Fraser started selling them. (Yey) But at a price of £8. (Boo) Then when my mam was at America earlier in the year she bought about 3 tins for herself and none at all for me! (Not happy mother). So this time she made sure she got me a tin! Rosebud Salve is the bestest thing my lips have ever had contact with! It seriously works on chapped lips so well and keeps my lips so hydrated (Especially in the harsh British Winters!) I cannot express how much I love rosebud salve! I am definitely going to buy so many in America Next year!

Smiths Rosebud Salve
Urban Decay Black Market 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil Set is the next last thing I got off my parents from America. Anyone that knows me, knows I hardly ever go anywhere with out eyeliner. These ones are so great because they are long lasting and they come in a range of colours! (West, Black Market, Desperation, Riot, Apathy, Ink ~ They all sound so good!). So far I have only used the Black Market one. Its so nice! The great thing about it is that it goes on great! Normally when I used a eyeliner pencil it's really awkward and rough to put on, but this one is so smooth! (Thumbs up)

Urban Decay Eyeliner's
The final product is a gift from one of my best friends Handful Of Emily. Yves Saint Laurent lipstick in Rouge Volupte. It looks like a dark purple, kind of like The damned lipstick from Topshop but comes out darker on the lips. It is such a nice colour and suits my skin tone and hair colour really well. Credits to the woman in Sephora Italy that helped Emily pick it by giving a description of me! Its so nice one and feels almost silky! I really would recommend to anyone who loves lipsticks to buy this one!

YSL Rouge Volupte
Thats all from my Sephora beauty review (haul ~whatever you want to call it really). I love Sephora so much! I really wish they had a store in the North East of the UK. It would make life glorious! Although I can still order off there website but the shipping cost is incredibly expensive so I intend on not buying from their website.

Thankyou for reading!

August Favourites..

Tuesday, 17 September 2013

Aloha Hoaloha,

I cant believe it is September already which means my birthday has been and passed, I have started my new life at college and on this current day it is only 98 days until christmas! So crazy! Its time to start planning my christmas list and digging out the wooly hats and scarfs. I thought I would share some of my favourite beauty items, clothing and other general favourites from last month!

The first thing I have been loving so much was the Naked pallet by Urban Decay which I bought on my summer vacation to Dubai. Where I embraced the magic of Sephora in the Dubai Mall. (MAGICAL) For a price of 263 Dirhams (abouts) which is about £45 in british pounds. I couldnt decide between which of the Naked pallets to get though. (Naked or Naked 2) So I went for the one that I thought was more me and got the first pallet. (Im currently saving for 'Naked 2') The colours in the first one are more my colours and style which is what I think pushed me to buy that one. My favourite shadow so far is 'Toasted' which I think is because I figured how to work that one and the shadow 'Sin' together.

The next item is Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Foundation in 200 'Soft Beige'. The foundation is great. I use it for everyday use, it has great coverage and gives a nice glow. It took me a while to figure out which colour was best for my skin tone, but I later figured I could wear the 'Soft Beige' or 'True Ivory' which I believe is the next shade down.
Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation Soft Beige
Baby Lips also by Rimmel London are some great lip balms I purchased last month. Cherry Me, Peach Kiss and Pink Punch are the three that I bought yet my favourite is Cherry Me. It has a great colour and lasts for a good amount of time. As well as smelling amazing. Each of these price at £3.99 each and can be found in stores like Superdrug.
Peach Kiss, Pink Punch, Cherry Me Baby Lips £3.99 each
Another one of my August favourites was Real Technique Brushes. I only recently bought these brushes out of birthday money but had to add them into this as everyone should know about these. So, I got the Shadow Brush, Powder/Blush Brush and Foundation brush. These have been so good (really soft!). I bought them as a pack from Superdrug for £20.99.
Real Technique Brushes £20.99
Also, the next thing I have always used because it is just my life saviour! Simple skin care range is just FABULOUS! I have never loved a product as much as I love simple. I use their 'Kind to skin hydrating light moisturiser' and the 'Face wash'. I found I cant use many skin products for washing my face and so on. Clearasil face wash really dry's my skin and irritates it as do many others but simple is just amazing, its leaves my skin so soft and clear. I rarely have outbreaks of spots! These can be bought from anywhere, stores like Superdrug, Boots, Asda, Tescos all supply these.
Simple kind to skin moisturiser
Fudge Urban is another great product I have discovered. Recently I got about 5 inches cut off my hair so it is now just below my shoulder because I fancied a change and had seen a really nice styled hair that I wanted. I found the Sea Salt spray of the Fudge Urban brand is great for giving my hair the texture of beachy waves that I want considering my hair is naturally straight (very straight). It almost gives my really loose curls which I think is really great! It also smells really good, great for those of you who love coconut scents! This is currently £6.99 in stores but I purchased it on a buy one get on half price deal.
Fudge Urban Sea Salt Spray
As a starting college present I also got some amazing boots from River Island. I had been wanting a pair of these for ages! The cut out boots! I had saw Miley Cyrus wearing a pair early on this year, and found them on Barney's. The really sad part is that they were £1,250 or something ridiculous like that! Then Topshop started doing them and they were still like £100 but then River Island brought out this pair for £45. (This is a party dance moment) They go with almost (if not) everything and they are so comfy! Best Present Ever!
River Island cut out boots £45
The final thing I have been loving a lot, is an album which came out earlier this year. For many of you that know me very well will already have an understanding of what might be coming. 'Demi' by Demi Lovato is quite possibly one of the greatest albums I have heard this year. Not just because I love her so much but because all of the songs are pretty relatable and its one of those albums that can be great for whatever mood your in. It is seriously a great album. I highly recommend it!

So thats all of my favourites from last month! Im going to try do a blog post each week, so every week a new blog post should be up on a Tuesday!
