Shoe Of The Month: STAN SMITHS

Monday, 6 April 2015

This month I am feeling really thankful I have small-ish feet. Well small enough feet that I can still buy kids sized trainers. Although I am a size 5, certain shoe shops sizing enables me to be able to buy from the kiddies section. Which means cheaper shoes- THANKYOU GOD. So this meant, I could buy my self some Stan Smiths.

I have eagerly wanted a pair of Stan Smiths since I saw Megan Ellaby had purchased some. I kind of fell in love..

Although they absolutely wrecked the back of my foot at first, I have now over come the blisters and adore them. They are a very comfortable pair of shoes that look fab on. Although I should not have really bought them (saving/car insurance) I do not regret it at all. I can't particulalry explain why I went for green but I and I actually really love the colour.

MY AUTUMN // WINTER OUTFIT ESSENTIALS

Thursday, 30 October 2014

Although Autumn is pretty much over now, I though I would talk you through my Autumn//Winter essentials. The items I am going to talk about I pretty much survive on in a day-to-day basis.

|| BLANKET CAPE ||

Blanket Capes are the thing to have in your wardrobe this year. They are the big trend at the moment and I am totally loving them. I find its not to hot to go out with a small jacket yet not absolutely freezing that you need a massive coat, scarf and gloves shebang. So I personally find the Blanket cape absolutely perfect! Its cosy and keeps you warm as well as making you look amazingly chic and very on trend. My Blanket cape is from Topshop and was about £30.

|| ANKLE BOOTS ||

Another bang on trend item for this Winter is the Ankle Boot. Whether you choose to go for a Higher Heel boot or a Lower Heeled boot they are the perfect winter look. I preferably go for a chunky lower heel simply because I find them more comfortable to wear. My ankle boots are actually from River Island and are so beautiful and comfortable (because they are lined with fur arghhhhh *gasps*) for the upcoming winter season and I would definitely recommend them.

|| BARRY M NAIL POLISH ||

Barry M have perfected the perfect Autumnal colours this year. I am in awe of their Paprika and Mustard Gelly Hi Shine colours. They are absolutely perfect for this season and I can't say much more about it. These were £3.99 each.

|| SMALL SHOULDER BAG ||

I have become a lover of a small shoulder bag and Primark seem to have the best range in this year. I am in adoration of the bag you can see above. It is so perfect and is beautifully lined on the inside as well. It has a long shoulder strap that works well across body also. It is beautifully embossed with what I make out to be a Indian Tribal style pattern. The lining inside is a beautiful paisley pattern with amazing Autumnal colours.  I think that cost around £9.

|| BOLD LIPS ||

I love Autumn//Winter so much because it is the time where darker lips are in. I am not really a fan of barbie pink lips and would always go for a statement red, therefor this season is my season. Dark Reds and Purples are my idea of heaven. I have so much love for dark colours and a one I am loving which I have pulled out from last winter is Topshop's 'Trigger". It is a beautiful dark red with brown undertones through it to cast off that beautiful winter look. The shade would suit anyone's complexion.

|| FINISHING TOUCHES ||

To finish off the look I added a Topshop necklace with some Black, Joni Jeans and a Primark overside, Boyfriend T-shirt. With a squirt of Black XS by Paco Rabanne.

I hope you enjoyed reading my Autumn // Winter Outfit Essentials, check out my Instagram and Twitter for more updates. -L

3 FAVOURITE JEWELLERY PIECES

Thursday, 14 August 2014

Hi guys!

I have seen a lot of people doing this blog post recently so I am joining in with it. These are my three current favourite jewellery/accessories items at the moment.

My first favourite is a newish thing and it is my baby. It's my Michael Kors watch which I purchased whilst on holiday in Florida in June. I have kind of planned buying a Michael Kors watch whilst I was over there but it depended on whether or not I could afford to buy and if there was a one I fell instantly love with. Luckily, there was 3 I had fallen in love with. One was a oversized silver runway chronograph watch with a blue face. Another was a oversized chunky black and silver one and the final one was a oversized black watch with gold hands and time markings. The final one was the watch I ended up going for after spending almost an hour in the Michael Kors shop deciding. The watch it's self was $180 without tax, it was so much cheaper compared to the pricing of them in the UK! As you can tell by the image, I still have the protector on the face because I am too scared to take it off in case I damage it (haha..) because I do wear it everyday. So far I haven't seen this model of the watch anywhere in the UK or online, so I am thankful I chose the one I did.

My next items are my Pandora rings! The first one I bought was my princess one. I bought this one a couple of months ago because I had a gift card for the shopping centre I bought it at. I love it, which is why I went on and bought another which I equally adore and it's my favourite colour. I bought the enamel ring in black so I could stack it with my princess one and I just love them. They are definitely worth the price and I wear them everyday!

Please excuse my horrendous nails and cuticles and btw, the ring on the ring finger is just a new buy Topshop which I am loving right now but it is not my top favourite.

My final favourite is my Cartier Love style bracelet. Obviously it not real because I could never afford a real one but it is close enough. I actually own three of these, 2 Gold and One Silver with the Diamantes. Because this bracelet is screwed onto my wrist I leave it on everyday but I honestly love it too much to take it off anyways. It goes with everything I wear and it is probably my favourite bracelet I have ever own. All of these bracelets I own I have purchased off Etsy and I know there are more places starting to now stocking them.

That is all for this week. I hope you enjoyed reading and love my top 3 jewellery pieces as much as me.

Long time // No see

Wednesday, 14 May 2014

Aloha,

So yesterday I attended Newcastle Fashion week's Northumbria University Graduate show. It was amazing. All of the work produced by the students were amazing, I would buy it all straight away if I could. It was very inspiring and with my FMP coming up I intend on using the images I got and what I saw as inspiration. Having seen this show and done my works experience at Northumbria University, yestderday made my mind set on being a Fashion Design student at Northumbria. The pieces created were absolutely amazing and you could definetly see where their inspiration came from.  Below are some of my favourite pieces.

It was such a good day and I would really reccomend it for any whom is wanting to go into fashion in the future or even if you go just for fun. An excellent day.
